Purchased the 1" shutoff control valve and battery backup. Unit was easy to install by homeowner using the FNPT fittings. Inlet and outlet fittings are unions so no extra fittings are required other than male adaptors for PVC pipe.. App was easy to set up and use. Water pressure and temperature are also monitored. I haven't used the 'away' mode yet but expect it to work as advertised once the limits are configured. Chubb customers receive a 20% discount.

Took a while to get it going properly,. Had to change out sensors. Important to clean water pipe and fasten securely to pipe.
Rarely are things as easy as they say, this one was easier. Set up on my phone in 2 minutes. Installed in another 2 minutes. I let it calibrate for a minute, ran the water, and I was set up. Couldn't have been made any easier. The app was simple and easy to understand. It's very basic and simple, so if you want precise detail, this might not be the correct unit, but for me, mostly wanting to know if there is a leak in my house while I'm away, it's absolutely perfect and simple to use.
Got this after a number of “close calls” with leaks and numerous friends with significant water damage from leaks.Installation was straight forward and relatively easy. Set the alerts feature on “auto learn”. Less than a week later i got a text alert for a leak. Turns out one of our toilets had its flapper stuck open and had run through 100 gallons by the time we found it. Had i not gotten the alert the wasted water would have surely cost more than the StreamLabs monitor.I really like how there’s no subscription fees like the alternatives have.I do wish it was more sensitive so that drip leaks could be detected but at least we’re protected from not knowing about catastrophic breaks.Already ordered a 2nd unit for our vacation home.
Really like the product not the price works great it gives me a warning anytime I use the water too much hopefully it will catch a leak if I have one and warn me on my phone so I can take action before I have to call my insurance company they even sent me an email saying that the unit was unplugged at a certain time and it fell out of the socket I plugged it back in and it worked fine oh and make sure you have a plug-in close to where you're going to use it at I had to put a drop cord on it to get closer to the plugin
This device works as advertised. Installs in 5 minutes... ok 15 min but that includes linking to wifi. I have a 1 1/4 acre yard that's fully landscaped with 8 water valves . i'm always fogetting to shut one off and the alerts have saved my bacon several times already. I check the app every night to make sure everything is off. The app is good and stable but could be so much more, therefore the 4 stars. Juice the app up Stream labs and it's an easy 5.
Shipping was less than 48 hour. Product packaging was very secure and high-end feeling. Installation takes less than 60 seconds. The app that the product links to is very easy to use and shows real time water usage and is totally configurable to your specifications. I highly recommend this product as it could possibly save your home from major water damage! Lastly, the “home” and “away” setting (in app) provides huge peace of mind when we’re out of the house.
I was looking for a water meter without having to tear into the existing plumbing. This is perfect and easy to install. The app is good and has the information I was looking for. It tracks water usage instantly, by hour, day, month and year. After 6 months you will have to subscribe to continue to have access to the info, but worth it.
Product was easy to install. This detector has been very helpful in quickly detecting leaks before the happen for a long duration of time. I haven't had to call tech support since the detector has been forking without problems. I wish they made an outdoor product that I could use with my irrigation system.
This flow meter was easy to install and the monitoring works well. I like the ambient temperature measurement, I missed that when reading prior to purchase. I can now tell how much water I use when, and with away mode set on/off with my Smartthings modes I get warnings if water is used when it shouldn't be, for some extra piece of mind.
Works as promised. Very easy to install. Will send you notification if you have a leak. No battery to replace every 4-12 months or risk of unit being out of WiFi range.
I no longer need to worry did I leave the water on during a vacation or has a pipe broken.I can rest in peace.
